Visible-NIR Reflection Backscatter probes listed below have low OH fibers to extend into the NIR region (400-2100nm). The probe design is a 6-around-1 fiber bundle design, with 6-fiber leg connecting to light source and single-fiber leg connecting to spectrometer. This design provides both specular and diffuse backscattering. For diffuse reflectance measurements in powders we recommend the angled probes which eliminate the specular component. Mixed probes allow an extended spectral range from UV-NIR (200-2100nm). Probes with a reference leg allow long term stability by adding an additional reference spectrometer channel.
