Fibers and Probes
We offer off the shelf fibers ranging from simple patch cords, bifurcated, and reflection probes. Fibers will range in core size and the wavelength range and length. All fiber assemblies listed are SMA 905 and meet the IEC specifications. The numerical aperture of the fibers is 0.22 which is well matched for all of the Ocean Insight spectrometers. High OH fibers are used in UV-VIS where low OH fibers are used with the VIS-NIR region. Larger core sizes usually equate to higher throughput but offer lower flexibility (or bend radius).
