Thermo Smart Orbit ATR with Germanium Plate.  Designed for opaque polymers and dark rubber-like materials.  Darker materials have lower ATR penetration depth due to their high absorption.  Germanium ATR crystals are often preferred for these applications due to their high index and wide spectral range.  Works with all Thermo Nicolet FTIRs except the IS5 and Summit models.
