Abrasion Sampling Kit

The Abrasion Sampling Kit provides a convenient solution for the collection of challenging solid samples, especially from surfaces where traditional sampling is difficult. Designed to support diffuse reflection spectroscopy, this kit includes a sample collector tool with a robust stainless steel flat sample post, accompanied by 75 silicon carbide (SiC) disks and 25 diamond abrasion disks. Ideal for analyzing large painted surfaces and other non-traditional or awkward objects, the abrasion method enables users to abrade the sample surface using the disk of choice. The abraded disk is then placed in a compatible accessory such as the EasiDiff, DiffusIR, or AutoDiff, where a diffuse reflection spectrum can be collected efficiently and reliably. Constructed with scientific professionals in mind, this kit ensures high compatibility with most PIKE diffuse accessories, offering flexibility for a variety of laboratory or field settings.
